Drawn From Astoria is a series of vibrant murals installed in a beloved Open Street destination, the avenue already functions as a civic corridor, and the new expanded pedestrian space provide highly visible canvases that naturally invite creative placemaking. The murals further enhance the street’s role as a community hub as they are created by, cared for, and inspired by a broad cross-section of Queens residents.
